Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice 30 ml
  • 1 oz sugar syrup 30 ml
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 oz white rum 60 ml
  • 1/2 cup club soda or soda water 125 ml
  • Ice as needed
  • Garnish
  • Lime wedges or slices
  • Fresh mint sprigs

Equipment

  • Cocktail glass
  • Muddler
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Bar spoon or long spoon
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Add the lime juice and sugar syrup to a cocktail glass.
  2. Add the mint leaves.
  3. Gently muddle the mint to release its aroma.
  4. Fill the glass with ice.
  5. Pour in the white rum.
  6. Top with club soda or soda water.
  7. Stir gently to combine.
  8. Garnish with a lime wedge or slice and fresh mint.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes
