Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 150 ml warm milk
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 whole egg
  • A pinch of salt
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
Filling
  • 100 g butter
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • Vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
Cream
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • 60 g sugar
  • 60 g milk powder

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, whisk warm milk with granulated sugar, vanilla sugar, and dry yeast.
  2. Whisk in melted butter, then add the egg and mix until combined.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead until smooth, then cover and let rest until slightly puffed.
  5. Make the filling by mixing butter, brown sugar, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon into a spreadable paste.
  6. Make the cream topping by mixing cream cheese, sugar, and milk powder until smooth.
  7. Roll dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  8. Spread filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border along one long edge.
  9. Roll into a tight log and slice into even rounds.
  10. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise until puffy.
  11. Bake at 350°F (175°C) until golden and cooked through.
  12. Spread cream topping over warm rolls and serve.
