Ingredients

  • 1 medium banana
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped carrot 150 g
  • 1 cup chopped beetroot 150 g
  • 200 ml orange juice fresh or 100% juice

Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Chef’s knife

  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Large bowl or pitcher
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cup

Method

  1. Peel and chop the carrot and beetroot into small pieces.
  2. Peel and slice the banana.
  3. Add beetroot, carrot, banana, and orange juice to a blender. Blend until very smooth.
  4. For a smoother juice, optionally pour through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher. Press with a spoon or spatula to extract the liquid. Leave it unstrained for a thicker, smoothie-like drink.

Notes

  • Beets stain easily; gloves help keep hands clean.
  • Straining is optional, but it makes the drink smoother and more “juice-like.”
